Brendt Waters
Brendt Waters is a strange bird. (In other news, water was recently found to be wet.)
Though possibly the most theologically conservative writer on this blog, he has the annoying habit of considering those who claim the name of Yeshua Hamashia to be his brothers and sisters. This causes no end of confusion among those who thought he was on their “team”.
Because he agrees with several theological principles proposed by John Calvin, Brendt is told that he is a Calvinst. By this logic, he is therefore also a Philistine, as it was a friend named Phil who had great influence on his walk with Christ and with whom he probably agrees more on theological issues than with some dead guy.
After spending the first 11 years of his life in and around Philadelphia, his parents moved to the Atlanta area and he decided to tag along. Though occasionally longing for a cheesesteak or soft pretzel, he has adapted to the South and almost sounds Southern at times.
Brendt earns his bread and butter in software support for a large computer company. In addition to writing here and on his own blog, he is the unofficial church geek for his church, Calvary Chapel Northwest. One of his best friends is his pastor, which really weirds him out, because one of his dad’s best friends is his pastor.
Brendt has no fear that the accompanying picture will blow any anonymity, as he almost never wears a tie.
