Proof By Assertion
Wikipedia tells us this about Proof by Assertion:
Proof by assertion is a logical fallacy in which a proposition is repeatedly restated regardless of contradiction. Sometimes this may be repeated until challenges dry up, at which point it is asserted as fact due to its not being contradicted (argumentum ad nauseam).

The technique is described in a saying, often attributed to Lenin, as “A lie told often enough becomes the truth”, although the user may not be intentionally promoting a lie and may just believe an illogical or faulty proposition.
In terms of its practical usage in the Christian Blogosphere, this technique is used by authors who post voluminous, self-referential articles all stating the same thing. They then link back to these articles frequently as ‘proof’ of the veracity of their position.
A second, more insidious usage of ‘proof by assertion’ occurs when an author posts an article, but deletes all comments which don’t agree with the author - or only posts dissenting comments which can be easily dispatched. Thus, the appearance given is that everyone must agree with the author - giving a false appearance of overwhelming support for the author’s position.
Either way, though, it’s basic dishonesty.
