The Use of Logic
One of the key ‘tools’ used by watchdawggies and their defenders is the logical fallacy, in which logic is misused in subtle or not-so-subtle means. We here at CRN.info are frequently in the position of having to point out the fallacies and then deconstruct them in arriving at the truth.
In this light, we have been requested, upon occasion, to give a fuller definition of these fallacies. Attached to this page, it is my intent to begin outlining these particularly insidious tactics abused by the very people who claim to uphold truth. In each section, I will highlight a particular fallacy along with variants and examples, with the assistance of wikipedia.
Additionally, because some logical fallacies are so subtle, they are easy to fall in to. As such, the writer may not be aware they have committed this fallacy - even when trying to avoid it. As such, we wish to remain accountable, so if you believe we’ve committed one (or a commenter here has), feel free to point it out to us or to the individual so that we may arrive at a conclusion via biblical and logical means.
The attached posts are not considered ‘articles’ as contained in the rest of this blog, and, as such, they may be updated and word-smithed from time to time to add examples and clarity.
