Written by all accounts by an unbeliever?

  2. Deborah Says:

This could be said of the watchers of watchdoggie’s also.

  3. Henry (Rick) Frueh Says:

How we seek to be different - Made of fail as well.

  4. Tim Reed, Owosso MI Says:

Actually Debs, its a little more like this:

  5. Joe Martino Says:

    Now, that’s funny

  6. Kevin I Says:

    I love XKCD

  7. Henry (Rick) Frueh Says:

To use a carnal hypothetical involving another brother and his wife’s intimate life and use that as humorous entertainment in order to both return fire for his view of a sex challenge and simultaneously receive twisted pleasure at the expensive of both he and his wife is innappropriate to say the least and reveals on some level a lack of substantive resource concerning the subject.

It is personal and defies the stated objectives just recently promulgated as the differences of this blog from the ones you seek to bring into accountability.

  8. Joe Martino Says:

    Rick,
I’m just a simple county boy, could you put that into simple English?

  9. Henry (Rick) Frueh Says:

    Joe - hypocritical. (succinctly)

  10. Joe Martino Says:

    Hmm, OK.

  11. iggy Says:

    Tim,

I agree with Rick, this is too personal. I do not care to see the inner workings of your intimacy with your wife. If you can’t control your issues with Ken’s links (which Rick himself has brought up in the past as a bit narcissistic) I do not see the relevance of you stating that you would pass up sex with your wife over counting Ken’s links to his own articles.

    iggy = )

  12. Joe Martino Says:

Yeah, it was the “another brother” phrase that threw me too.

  13. Tim Reed, Owosso MI Says:

    igs,
That can’t be me in that cartoon, he’s way too skinny.

  14. iggy Says:

    Joe,
This is the difference a “nuance” can make in understanding things… as I was trying to explain to Rick in “another thread.” If it had said, “I am trying to find out how many times I can link to myself.” Then I think that it would be “funny” yet Rick would have a good point.

    iggy = )

  15. Henry (Rick) Frueh Says:

Ken’s links (methodology) are fair fodder. Afetr reading Iggy’s comment I realize it wasn’t Ken in the cartoon. I still would object to its implication and subject matter, however I would adjust (temper) my remarks since the guy is a fictional character.

It is not personal however still is provocative. Not hypocritical but too suggestive. Sorry for the strength of my previous comment, but we need to refrain from personal attacks. And Ken trusts me to protect him. =)

Disclaimer - any resemblence of this cartoon to real people is strictly an accident and spawned by the wicked imaginations of its readers. Editors.

  16. iggy Says:

    Tim,

Now that I unfortunately relate to… and also suffer from. For me it would be a large oval character instead of a stick character… =)

    iggy

  17. Henry (Rick) Frueh Says:

Iggy - nuance. Is that a color for curtains? Somewhere between black and white? A whiter shade of gray? Sounds like a song.

  18. iggy Says:

Nuance is the difference between red and pink… both of the same primary colors, yet actually different colors.

To a law enforcer to confuse the two can mean a big difference if your description is that the guy wore a pink shirt and it was a red one.

In the bible it can mean the difference between living under the Law or under Grace.

    iggy = )

  19. mandy reed, owosso mi Says:

I just thought it was funny…

  20. Phil Miller Says:

The funniest part to me is the keywords you tagged it with, Tim…

  21. Deborah Says:

I think he suffers from OCD. :)

  22. Tim Reed, Owosso MI Says:

The funniest part to me is the keywords you tagged it with, Tim…

I was wondering if that would be picked up on by anyone.

  23. Henry (Rick) Frueh Says:

    What keywords?

  24. iggy Says:

Ken is accusing BHT for being mean spirited… as if BHT made the thing up like TP did with mean spirited pomo anti motivation posters. Talk about false accusations and bearing false witness against another!

Much more… how about that point missed by the editor by a mile!

    iggy

  25. Christian P Says:

I thought some of the Pyro Motivation posters were hilarious.

    So was this drawing.

I believe it is Mark Driscoll (and many other guys) who say we take ourselves way too seriously and we don’t take God serious enough.

  26. Mike Corley Says:

I highly resent being part of this outrageous characterization; it is an obvious slanderous attempt to make a humorous expression at the expense of slandering and maligning some very fine people. I insist that you remove the libelous display down from your website and immediately reframe from making such ungrounded accusations toward my integrity again……at least without asking me first. Perhaps you could fly down to Vicksburg and hang out with me for the day and find what really makes me tick. Remove my names as being associated with the picture….and then email it to me so I can try it on my Episcopalian friends…lol.

  27. Brendt Says:

Ken is accusing BHT for being mean spirited…

99% of the BHT posts were critical of the challenge. Too bad the Christian “Research” Network doesn’t do any.

  28. Timothy Bell Says:

I’m sure the key words and names used for this thread relates to those who post on CRN and not meant to imply other things….still, because the thread is linking Dwayna, who is single, to the picture on the sex issue, it is offensive to imply, however unintentionally, that she engages that sort of thing while unmarried. She is attractive and probably has a block-long line of single guys willing to date her but she has high moral standards (as all Christians should have) and reserves the best for marriage. I would ask kindly if you could strike her name out of the keywords, I’d appreciate it.

  29. Brendt Says:

  30. Timothy Bell Says:

Any response to my post above?

  31. Phil Miller Says:

    TB,
I’m not sure what connection you’re making exactly. What is the sex issue you’re referring to?

  32. Chris L Says:

I fixed it - unaware of Dwayna’s marital status being null, TR had her tagged along with the other CR?N writers. TB, being properly apprised of Dwayna’s marital status felt that the cartoon was improperly maligning her (suggesting that she was going to bed with someone). As such, I’ve removed the offending tag…

  33. Timothy Bell Says:

    Thanks, Chris, much appreciated.

  34. Henry (Rick) Frueh Says:

OK, I have some suggestions and maybe Tim will invite others. Without the sexual connotation, here are some others words that fit that cartoon that convicts us all.

“When are you coming to bed?”
    “How dare he say that!”
    “What are you doing?”
“Quiet, I’m reaching people for Christ!”

“When are you coming to bed?”
    “In a minute.”
    “What are you doing?”
    “Shh, I’m feeding African orphans.”

“When are you coming to bed?”
“Wait a minute, I’m rebuking some moron on this blog!”
    “What moron?”
“Some guy named Henry or Rick, some real jerk!”.
