Other worldly voice booming from beyond the universe: You’re all going to hell.

Humanity: Uh, little help?

Other worldly voice booming from beyond the universe: I don’t think so, I’m not coming down there.

Humanity: Ah crap.

Other worldly voice booming from beyond the universe: Pretty much. See you guys… well never actually.

When the church loses a sense of wonder for the incarnation, she exchanges the gospel for law.

Who has lost a sense of wonder for the incarnation?

I love the hypocrisy that says “you’re not Ezekiel, Isaiah Jeremiah etc etc” but we can all be Jesus and go drink or whatever. The Jesus who by the way is currently and actively fufilling the prophecies and the Law written by those saints, right now;on behalf of the redeemed. I “wonder” if you know anything about the incarnation.

The only ’sneering’ I see is in Ingrid’s post.

And if anyone cannot see what “kind of spirit is in her [writings], they just don’t want to see it”.

I guess when Jesus let the prostitute touch Him and wash Him, He was being a ’slut’ too {forgive me, Lord}.

    At least by her standard.

If all I cared about was appearances…I’d probably watch my language before I called someone a ’slut’, among other things.

That’s not swearing, but “damn” or “sh*t” is?

    Are you kidding me?

Ingrid warns men not to go to JCgirls site. I went.

Then I went to the ODM Dwanya’s site. How are Dwayna’s photos any different? She has a lo cut shirt and lot’s of makeup.

    Dwayna

    Dwayna again

    Or Brannon Howse’s wife?

  5. iggy Says:

    Matt,

There was a picture of Dwayna in a tight blue sweater that some made comment on, and she took it down.

Funny though that instead of realizing that not all of the “girls” at JCgirls site in the pictures are part of them, some of those “girls” are the one they are reaching out to.

It seems that if there is someone who is bringing Christ in to real darkness… and are like firefighters entering a burning brothel to get people out, ODM’s seem to only see that the firefighter is going into a house of sin and not see that they are saving some.

I realize that these are beautiful women, and that as a man I see them as attractive, yet that is not about them it is about me. IF I LOOK AND LUST… IF I GET ANGRY… and so on… it is not about the object that was “sexy” or made me angry.

They seem to fall in line with the thought of Islam fundamentalists and blame the woman for being a woman and seducing men by that very fact.

It is like a 40 y/o man complaining about a 13-15 y/o girl for dressing to provocatively because it makes him lust after her…

I wonder why the man cannot see that it is not the way they dressed, but the desire that is within them that made think and sin… and deal with that first.

Isn’t it possible to meet these women when they are not at work? At least then you wouldn’t have to pay $20 bucks for a lap dance. Seriously, you could witness to them for free, while they’re not at work, and then give the $20 to feed someone who actually might need it if he/she wants to eat that day.

I might tweak her methodology, but I cannot in good conscience attack her as visciously as did Ingrid because I am not actively seeking the souls of strippers. I also find it distasteful to use the “I helped a promiscuous girl once” as a public substantiation of her own passion for these girls. There are many sad stories that accompany many of these girls. Here is one:

  8. Brendt Says:

… there are ways not to evangelize that can bring … and harm on the name of our Savior.

And they are listed specifically in the book of Hezekiah.

What a wuss this “Savior” guy must be that his name is so fragile. Glad that Jesus isn’t like that.

  9. Brendt Says:

Henry (Rick), that distasteful line (boy, you’re gracious to only call it “distasteful”) sounds an awful lot like someone trying to prove they’re not bigoted by saying “some of my friends are black”.

  10. Henry (Rick) Frueh Says:

My heart breaks when I think of girls like these, and though I am not sold on this women’s method I am sold on her mission. We should pray that God would use her to reach those who we…uh…let’s be honest, do not care deeply enough about. I kind of look at it as would a gynecologist (I am serious) whose profession demands him to view things that would be off limits to the rest of us.

Perhaps God has gifted her in this area. I only know that she speaks with girls that the church avoids. To list her slut like appearance is so self righteous. It’s posts like these that make the other posts irrelevant. I wonder how many tears we have shed before God for the girls in this lifestyle? I pray this lady will reach many souls even if her approach and methedology isn’t as perfect as mine is, right.

Inquisitor makes a good suggestion, now who is going to do that? No one that I know.

The idea is that they “dance” for the $20… which means they do not have to dance but hear the gospel instead. In fact it also keeps them from actually dancing for men.

So it works that they still make money, without exploiting themselves while they listen to the gospel and not sin and cause another to sin…

    And is that wrong?

I know of a guy who used to pick up hookers and pay them so he could take them home and feed them and witness to them… that was in the 70’s, today they would be arrested for doing that. That was Larry Norman by the way…

I had to laugh as I watched one of the trailers…

The JCgirls stated that one of the ways they are judged by those in the “industry” and how they judge each other is how they look so it was important that they look presentable to them…

Ingrid seems to do just what the girls that the JCgirls are reaching do… judge by outside appearances…

So That made me think of that one scripture about the pharisees… and the washing of the cup… and it seems that Ingrid wants the outside to be cleaned up and is not as worried about the inside.

Strange world to think that the truly “righteous” are still worried about outside appearances than reaching the lost.
I also thought that the JCgirls seemed rather well put together… enough to say, “we are beautiful” but not so much to say that word Ingrid loves, “slut”. In fact what Ingrid states in there is mostly not truly representing them…

I did not see a bear middrift… in fact their clothes seems very modest in that they are going into some of the places they are.

I appreciate what Ingrid’s grampa did… and that I see that a person can stand outside and preach… but that is not what these people need. They do not need more preaching, they need love and someone willing to run into the burning building and pull them out. I wonder at Ingrid and others who think that a person trapped in a burning building can just come outside at will.

These are godly women that have been in the industry and know the inside issues and story of coming out of is. They met Jesus and were changed and see that what others were doing needs to be more agressive if we think we can reach those trapped in an exploitive industry like the sex industry.

“Opposition is coming from those as influential as Greg Laurie because Heather still looks and behaves in the photographs as though she never left the lifestyle.” - Ingrid

OH, I get it now, her hair is still bleached so obviously… though, how does one “behave” in a photograph?

I really could not get through Ingrid’s rant about this- even if she had points that were valid (I’m still not sure) she is just mean. I kept looking for these “slut” pictures she was talking about on Heather’s site, and really I’m just confused. midriff bearing slut outfits? Hooker make-up? Seriously… where does she come up with this stuff? (Besides the fact that Heather wasn’t even the one with her midriff showing…)

I guess I’ll try to read Ingrid’s post again, but I really see nothing wrong with Heather’s make-up or clothes. I guess She could minister to these women better if she had on ankle-length dresses and no make-up.

  17. kenn Says:

After Ingrid’s usual over the top rant, I couldn’t resist checking out the website.

Where was this “come hither” look Ingrid saw. I saw a girl with blonde (obviously bleached) hair smiling at the camera.

So now, in Ingrid’s little world, a smile is a “come hither” look? Well, that’s it for me. I’m not going to smile at anybody anymore, lest they think I’m trying to send them a “come hither” vibe.

  18. Ian Says:

Looking at the site I cannot see what the problem is. If Heather truned up at the clubs and conventions in a sack and no make-up who would pay attention? Looking at the photos on her site (and no I didn’t stumble it takes more than a few pictures of porn stars from a convention who need Jesus to do that) she is dressed nicely in jeans and t-shirt.

I say more power to her and she can just ignore the retrograde, legalistic, pharisaical attitude of a few lone-ranger bloggers. She doesn’t need us or anyone else to agree with her, she just needs to be following Jesus and living in community.

I love the hypocrisy that says “you’re not Ezekiel, Isaiah Jeremiah etc etc” but we can all be Jesus and go drink or whatever.

Really Chris? I mean really? You can’t figure out why anyone would say “imitate Christ”? The only reason you can come up with is hypocrisy?

Here’s a hint in case you really don’t know.

  20. Henry (Rick) Frueh Says:

“I wonder if you know anything about the incarnation”

I wonder if any of us has done anything more than scratch the surface. All of us.
