I encourage everyone to follow “Pastor” Silva’s advice:
do yourself a favor and just avoid this short missive over at Apprising Ministries.
I copied exactly what he said and it speaks for itself.

But, Tim, you took Ken out of context.
Oh, wait, he does that all the time…
Never mind.

My point exactly.

I didn’t listen and I went and read what he wrote…
Let me paraphrase:
Again that is only a paraphrase.

Ooooh…that’ll leave a mark.

How can you taken seriously when you say things like this:
“inundated as it is with new breed neo-Gnostic new evangelicals and slowly being swallowed up by the psuedo-Christianity of the emerging church”
And then in the midst of a supposed serious doctrinal discussion comes this:
“Why many today are so quick to point out their love for “free will,†so this should actually make them quite happy; it’s their own choice that they are not saved because Scripture says they refused to love the truth.”
Would it be so difficult to Biblically challenge the oneness doctrine complet with an objective presentation? But alas, name calling, creative metaphors, hyperbole, and the fragrance of arrogance is much sweeter!

If I were a drinkin’ man, I’d invent a drinking game based on the number of hyphenated words in one of Ken Silva’s “missives”.

Throw in the links to his own articles, and I think even I’d be under the table before I got through one of them.
Even without the self-linkage, I’d probably be toasted before I got through one missive.

Oh man the Ken Silva drinking game would kill people.

The-sad-thing-is, this-missive-might-actually-have-some merit, but-with-all-the-name-calling-hyperbole-indisciminatley-tossed-out-instead-of-real substance-which-seems-to-totally-disregard-anything-taught -by-Walter-Martin-I –for-one –would-go- to-about-ten-other-ministries-than-AP-for-real-info-on –Jakes-and-Hagee-let-alone-a-missive-on-doctrine-from-someone-who-can’t-even-figure-out-what-he-truly-believes.

Agreed.
Ken silva should just present the truth and quit the name calling. But we here must do the same too if we are indeed doing so.(i am NOT saying that you all do what ken does)
I used to be able to understand what ken silva writes. Now i have no idea what message he is driving across, what is the correct doctrine since ____ (fill in the name) is wrong. The only thing i get is that ken silva is ‘correct’. Sighz.
If ken is reading this, i tell you (ken) now that am a calvinist. A calvinist should handle truth accurately. While indeed Jesus did do some kind of name calling, man’s anger does NOT achieve the righteousness that God desires. You (ken) have to be careful before name calling, give the benefit of the doube in absense of evidence , and most of all ken, please do NOT misappropriate scripture for your personnal defence (this is not an absolute statement, but your frequency is much increased over these months) I am ashamed to be called a calvinist and even a baptist with you.
So ken, where is you sola scriptura? Should not scripture be used only in its context?

Guys i think you all have evidence of ken misappropriating scripture for personnal use. Please help me here if ken comes in

You know, it’s really sad. The Health and Wealth movement is so dangerous. But the ODM watchdoggies aren’t helping point that out. They aren’t helping teach truth. Credibility. They don’t have any, so nobody is listening.
