(HT: Iggy)

From Cultintervention.com:

1. Absolute authoritarianism without meaningful accountability.
2. No tolerance for questions or critical inquiry.
3. No meaningful financial disclosure regarding budget, expenses such as an independently audited financial statement.
4. Unreasonable fear about the outside world, such as impending catastrophe, evil conspiracies and persecutions.
5. There is no legitimate reason to leave, former followers are always wrong in leaving, negative or even evil.
6. Former members often relate the same stories of abuse and reflect a similar pattern of grievances.
7. There are records, books, news articles, or television programs that document the abuses of the group/leader.
8. Followers feel they can never be “good enough”.
9. The group/leader is always right.
10. The group/leader is the exclusive means of knowing “truth” or receiving validation, no other process of discovery is really acceptable or credible.

I will admit that I was originally skeptical when I first heard about this, but Ken does, indeed, meet 9 of the 10 criteria

The only one I don’t know about is #4 as I really don’t care what he does with his money…

But as i read this it had CRN and Ken all over it…

I shook me a bit.

crn is full of very ill people. I don’t mean that in an insulting way but I do believe they have emotional issues. I think Ken needs professional help to deal with his delusions and paranoia.

Thank you for your concern. It’s nice to hear from you again. I do hope you’re well.

Well, this pretty much describes Pastor Rick Warren and his November/December newsletter where he kicks out of membership anyone who does not fall in line with his church and ‘purpose driven’

That’s a lie. Or a statement of ignorance about RW. I don’t necessarily approve of what he does, but that’s a mischaraterization you made. I don’t know how much research you’ve done, but maybe you should do a little more. If you stand on what you’ve said, then we’ll just disagree. But I’m just letting you know I think you’re wrong.

But like I said, I don’t really like RW anyways. I just figured this site holds everyone to higher reporting/researching standards.
